Clinton, Trump to tout national security policies at ‘commander-in-chief’ forum
Asked about previous comments that he knows more about the Islamic State than “the generals”, Trump replied that under Obama, American generals “have been reduced to rubble”.

Trump was also asked about a tweet from 2013 in which he noted the rash of sexual assaults and wrote “What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?” “No not to take them out, but something has to happen. Instead of asking about big ideas, he asked small-bore questions that voters aren’t asking at their dinner tables”, Adam Green’s Progressive Change Campaign Committee, which is pushing for a debate format where Americans generate and rank questions to be asked of the candidates, said in response to NBC’s forum.
He said that, “sometimes we have to reduce bureaucracy”.
Trump on Russian President Vladimir Putin: “If he says great things about me, I’m gonna say great things about him”.
Hillary Clinton again demonstrated her mastery of policy, but continued to struggle to defend her judgment.
“There is no evidence my account was hacked”, she said. “And I was very, very surprised”, he said. But Trump has no plan to do that; he says he’ll have his children run the business while he runs the country. “If I win, I don’t want to broadcast to the enemy exactly what my plan is”. Clinton has said the Clinton Foundation would stop taking foreign and corporate contributions if she were elected (she should go further, by severing all family ties with the foundation) while Trump has no plans to minimize such conflicts of interest – or even to disclose them.
Throughout his speech today, the NY real estate developer spoke of his goal to have people in his administration develop plans, declaring that within the first month of his presidency, he would ask his generals for a plan to defeat ISIS and ask others for a plan to combat cyberespionage. In this unbelievable election, however, I will state for the record that I will not, under any circumstance, vote for Donald Trump.
The former secretary of state addressed her use of private email during a forum Wednesday night on NBC. “But every part of our government had to deal with questions, secretary of state’s office was first and foremost, so there are ways of talking about the drone program”. At an event geared toward national security and military veterans, the NBC co-host failed to ask a single question about Trump’s controversial remarks about Gold Star parents Khizr and Ghazala Khan, Sen. We have to do more about addiction.
A member in the audience asked Trump how he would deescalate tension with Russian Federation. “I think I’m in the best possible position to be able to understand that and prevent it”.
Clinton, meanwhile, unveiled a list of endorsements from 95 retired generals and admirals – most of whom had previously announced their support for the Democratic nominee – who cited her years as secretary of State and as a us senator in contrast to the NY businessman who lacks experience in government and has attacked global allies as well as adversaries. I have taken responsibility for my decision.
“I think when he calls me brilliant I’ll take the compliment, but it’s not going to get him anywhere”, Trump responded.
“I communicated about classified material on a wholly separate system”.

Providing more nuanced detail than in the broad-brush rallies supporters have become accustomed to, Trump outlined proposals for an active army of around 540,000 troops, an air force of at least 1,200 fighter aircraft, a 36-battalion marine corps and a navy of 350 surface ships and submarines.
