If a Democratic president could get the right justice appointed to the supreme court, he argued, then the USA could again begin to separate money from politics.

Under party rules, they’re considered “unpledged” and can support whichever presidential candidate they choose – and while some of Washington’s say they’re neutral, most have backed Clinton. “That is the most conservative part of this great country, that’s the fact”.
