Clinton vows to stand up to Putin
WASHINGTON, D.C.: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump slammed Hillary Clinton as mentally unstable at a Saturday (Sunday in Manila) campaign rally, seizing on her admission that she “short-circuited” in comments about her private email use at the State Department.

Trump’s main takeaway from the DNC was that people had been nasty about him.
The survey shows the damage of Trump’s criticism of the Khan family – the parents of a United States soldier killed in combat who blasted Trump at the Democratic National Convention.
After a rough couple of days – including Trump’s dispute with the Muslim parents of a USA soldier who died in Iraq – the Republican nominee has fallen behind Clinton in a number of national polls. He offered some criticism of Trump’s campaign, saying the GOP nominee should stay focused on Hillary Clinton’s record as secretary of state, rather than “getting involved in other unrelated discussions”. Late on Friday, he said he supported all three.
Clinton running mate Tim Kaine visited MI on Friday, using his Grand Rapids speech to highlight her 100-day jobs plan and criticize Trump for a lack of specificity on his economic agenda.
The poll confirms that Clinton received a larger post-convention bounce than Trump did from his convention. “(Maybe) at some point in the future we can look back on this in MI and see it as a turning point, but that remains to be seen”. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire. “He doesn’t understand the crowd that follows Bernie Sanders”.
Still, Clinton’s lead dwarfs recent Democratic wins in recent presidential elections.
And Republican strategist told the NYT that ads will be airing soon that would treat Trump’s defeat as a given and seek support for Republicans running for Congress as a check on Clinton.
The poll came at a time when Clinton was scrambling to win over support of young voters after a bruised primary season. Additionally, at least for now the conventions appear to have helped Clinton in erasing at least some of the favorability issues that she’s been facing ever since entering the race. Based on an examination of the pre-convention polls and the numbers we see today then, it seems clear that whatever effort Republicans were making to reboot the race at the Republican Convention seem to have failed spectacularly, while Clinton has clearly benefited from what was, in retrospect, a relatively flawless Democratic Convention. “Donald Trump has been on the road talking about how the Khan family viciously attacked him and why he’s not supporting the speaker in his own primary”.
Things aren’t getting better for Trump because much of the country is in the process of deciding that he is unqualified and unfit to be president. “Very unsafe!” Trump tweeted Saturday morning.
Trump, Flake cautioned, needs to take more “responsible positions” to hold on to a state that leans Republican but has threatened to become a more serious battleground because of a growing Hispanic population.
Clinton leads Trump among women, 58% to 35%, and has a 19-point edge among college-educated white women – a key group both parties target.
In Pennsylvania, Clinton is ahead by mid-to-high single digits, while several polls show McGinty and Toomey very close.
