Clinton wins Guam primary
“Hillary Clinton and I agree … that we will do everything we can to make sure that a Republican does not win the White House”.

Jeff Weaver, the campaign manager for Bernie Sanders, issued a warning to Hillary Clinton on Bloomberg’s Masters in Politics podcast: If she makes a shift back to the middle on important issues in a general election campaign, she shouldn’t count on Sanders supporters to be there for her in November.
Clinton is far ahead, leading Sanders by more than 300 pledged delegates and some 3 million votes.
Sanders handily won the Washington caucuses by a landslide on 26 March, beating Clinton 72.7-percent to 27.1-percent. Not only has she ignored Sandres’ recommendations, Wasserman Schultz has put Clinton loyalists in two key spots: Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy was put in charge of the Platform Committee, for example, and former Rep. Barney Frank of MA was named chairman of the Rules Committee.
But Huffman’s recalibration hasn’t fully satisfied some of Sanders’ supporters. “They’re wrong”, Sanders said in a phone interview with the Associated Press from New Albany, Indiana.
“Of course the party needs to be unified, and it will be unified after the convention in July”, he said last week.
And as for the superdelegate system, Huffman said, “I think we should eliminate superdelegates completely”. “We’re supposed to be the big-tent party”. The Vermont socialist’s other goal was to build a progressive grass-roots movement and to push the Democratic Party to the left.
On the Republican side, Donald Trump became the last remaining candidate and likely nominee after both his opponents quit the race after the IN primary. “Their presumptive nominee, or should I call him the presumptuous nominee”, said Clinton. He would not predict whether the senator would talk about the city’s looming bankruptcy, but Dempsey did say the city’s economic woes are the kinds of issues Sanders is trying to address in his national campaign. “She wants to show that she can bring things home in the way Donald Trump has”.

Paul Feeney, who ran the Sanders campaign in MA, said the senator still has every intention of winning the Democratic nomination, but the policies that have been the hallmark of his campaign – raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour, going after corporate tax dodgers – will be pushed regardless. Seven pledged delegates are up for grabs on Guam, where voting began at 10:00 a.m. local time and ended at 8:00 p.m at a shopping mall in the capital of Hagatña. Like Iowa, Colorado and Maine, Washington state has a multistep process for awarding delegates to the national convention.
