At Trump’s convention last week, Clinton was the target of blistering criticism of her character and judgment, a sharp contrast to the warm and passionate woman described by her husband. To them, Clinton’s nomination represents the culmination of decades of work devoted to tearing down the barriers women have faced seeking high office in America.

The heckling interrupted a prayer, a speech by the chairman of the proceedings, Congresswoman Marcia Fudge, and even a speech by Congressman Elijah Cummings, one of the most prominent African Americans in Congress. They said they were holding a peaceful protest to complain about being shut out by the Democratic Party. “What we’re really going to focus on tonight is telling that story, and telling her story, talking about the fights of her life”.

With temperatures climbing again toward the mid-90s, Chris Scully, a 28-year-old an engineer from Troy, New York, held a “Jill Before Hill” sign outside City Hall and said he opposes Clinton because of her war record as secretary of state.

She put an electrifying cap on the Democratic convention’s second night, appearing by video from NY and declaring to cheering delegates, “We just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet”.

States will also sound off in a roll call vote that will include many votes in favor of Sanders, but end in Clinton officially being named the nominee. “I guess she didn’t do very well”, Trump said. “They were basically put in the employment of the Hillary campaign”. “Bernie!” the now former presidential candidate spoke from the convention floor to make a motion.

“It is no secret that Hillary Clinton and I disagree on a number of issues”, Sanders said, addressing his supporters at the convention, some of whom had tears in their eyes.

“And because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters and all of our sons and daughters now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States”.

“Honestly it kind of grew organically”, Oregon Delegate Steve Bintliff told The Daily Caller News Foundation. The hackers took at least a year’s worth of detailed chats, emails and research on Trump, according to a person knowledgeable of the breach who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly about the matter. Describing a nation in chaos, Trump declared himself the “law and order candidate” exclusively capable of restoring public safety. In a crowd-control measure that was also used the night before, only passengers with media or convention credentials were allowed to ride all the way to the Wells Fargo Center.

As of Monday night, there were no arrests even though multiple people have been detained, police told ABC. “If you don’t believe that this election is important”, he said, “take a moment to think about the Supreme Court justices that Donald Trump would nominate”.

The Clinton campaign has never objected to having a roll-call vote, saying it was in keeping with its view that all votes should be counted. Her candidacy has been dogged by voters’ questions about her trustworthiness, made worse by recent findings by the Federal Bureau of Investigation that her team mishandled classified information on a private server while she was secretary of state. She gave her first endorsement of Mrs Clinton in an address that helped to lift some of the tension. Overall, the Clinton camp has raised $386 million total versus Trump’s $94 million.
