Clinton wins majority of delegates from primaries, caucuses

Because of Hillary Clinton, parents can now tell their daughters, the same as they’ve always told their sons, “you, too, can be president someday”. “This campaign is about making sure there are no ceilings, no limits on any of us”. “Tonight’s victory is not about one person. Thanks to generations of Americans who refuse to give up or back down”.

Mrs Clinton had already secured the delegates needed for the nomination before Tuesday’s contests, according to an Associated Press tally. Which was a nice way of saying, some of them may have been “confirmed” Clinton delegates before they got to see what kind of campaign he was running, but that’s actually not the case. Clinton notched wins in New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota while Sanders won the North Dakota caucuses.

On Tuesday, the former first lady led the party primary in California with 56 per cent of the votes, according to results released after over 92 precincts partially reported as of early Wednesday morning, Xinhua news agency reported.

The host of “The Young Turks”, Cenk Uygur, has slammed CNN’s “biased” United States election coverage, accusing the network of “journalistic malpractice” for counting superdelegates in their official tally before the Democratic Party’s convention.

“At this point”, Earnest said, “the president believes Senator Sanders has more than earned the right to make his own decision about the direction of his campaign”.

Sanders said he called Clinton to congratulate her on the victories. “But as we look ahead to the battle that awaits, let’s remember all that unites us”.

In Albuquerque, N.M., Lucy Demir voted for Sanders.

“For the first time in our history, a woman will be chosen as presidential candidate for a major political party”, said a victorious Clinton at a rally in Brooklyn, New York in front of her supporters.

“I didn’t know him that well but I never really ever had any information about him engaging in bigotry and prejudice until he took up the cause of the birthers against President Obama, which is really so freakish”. “I think he’s really direct, and I appreciate how he really is trying to stay on his side of the street”.

“Considering the foil that is Donald Trump, everybody I know that has supported Sen”.

“We can not let a man who demeans women, attacks people for their race or religion, and traffics in paranoid conspiracy theories take the oath of office”, she said, attacking 69-year-old Trump.

“I grew up in communism”, said Biel, 46. “I know that feeling well”.

He made a direct plea to Sanders supporters who he said had been “left out” by a “rigged” superdelegate system, and he debuted new attacks against his likely Democratic rival.

Mr Obama has approval ratings above 80 per cent with liberal democrats, who make up the bulk of Senator Sanders’ support.

“This election isn’t about Republican or Democrat, it’s about who runs this country: the special interests or the people”, he said. But that didn’t help him much last night since delegate-heavy California and New Jersey were primary states.
