Clinton writes a new chapter in American history
In an analysis of Clinton’s speech, Politico says the Democrat seemed to say “take me or leave me”, noting the presidency may “come down to how the voters answer that challenge”.

Her speech, which capped the party’s four-day convention in Philadelphia, also included some savage takedowns of her Republican opponent Donald Trump. “I’m asking you now to work as hard for Hillary, as I did for Barack Obama”, Vermont, Gov. Peter Shumlin, said. The shoot-from-the-hip billionaire believes he can make headway in those states with blue-collar white men.
Mrs Clinton is playing up economic opportunity, diversity and national security.
It ends with a voice over from Trump, saying that he approves this message. “But she made it clear that she actually has plans, and (Trump) does not”. What are we offering?
Touching on the issue of police killings and uproar against law enforcement in the country, Clinton called for rebuilding “trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve”.
After complimenting speeches by her husband, President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, her vice presidential nominee, Virginia Sen.
Polls find that most Americans question Mrs Clinton’s honesty. She offered her resignation to Trump, who rejected it. Hardy said, “I know, I can’t do it in seven words, it’s just too exciting and too much!”
Joining Clinton, vice presidential nominee Kaine alleged that a lot of companies owned by Trump are pushing more and more jobs overseas.
“We will not build a wall”, she said.
The former reality show star also spoke favorably of his rival’s convention, saying in the interview, published Wednesday, “I’ve liked both shows”.
“Unless you want to be lied to, belittled, and attacked for your beliefs, don’t watch Hillary’s DNC speech tonight… Your cause is our cause”.
“Bernie, your campaign inspired millions of Americans, particularly the young people who threw their hearts and souls into our primary”, Clinton said.
“I was going to hit one guy in particular, a very little guy”, Trump said to laughs at a campaign rally in Iowa. “And every time I thought I might have the race won, Hillary just came back stronger”.
“I really loved Chelsea’s”, said Florida delegate Adriana Gonzalez, immediately after the speech ended Thursday night.
Speaker after speaker cast Trump as intolerant, inexperienced and risky, including the Pakistan-born immigrant father of a Muslim-American soldier killed in Iraq, who held up a copy of the Constitution and insisted that Trump “has sacrificed nothing”. I’ve never heard the argument put quite that way and aimed at gun owners. I worked for Ronald Reagan. But Trump said Friday that Sanders “sold his soul to the devil” when he – unlike some of his loudly protesting supporters – threw his support behind Clinton. “This year, I will vote for a Democrat for the first time”.

Of Sander’s motion to nominate Clinton, Nelson said, “It was a lovely moment”.
