Upon the announcement of Blake Griffin’s injury, Clippers fans all over social media reacted about the possibility that the Los Angeles Clippers might lose the first round series against the Jazz.

The Los Angeles Clippers may have many things to accredit to their success to this year. Gordon Hayward is arguably the best player on the Jazz, and the Clippers could not go up 3-1 in the series with him out. It was Utah’s first home playoff win since 2010.

“He has been so unbelievably coachable with that part of his game”, said Snyder of Ingles’ passing. He’s trying to make way too many plays with the ball. Joe was unbelievable with his pace and how to get to his spots and stuff like that. And we know that.

“These are all firsts for this group on some level, and I think the challenge for our guys is just literally, if you can kind of conceptually put what happened before behind you and literally prepare for the next game and whatever adjustments, just be completely focused on that”, he said. He told teammates Friday “we’re in a good position”.

On the sixth, George Hill found Johnson open in the corner, but instead of shooting the 3 he flicked the ball to Joe Ingles who knocked down a deep 3, giving Utah a 94-90 lead. This series is tied 2-2 going back to Los Angeles. Griffin has been ruled out for the rest of the postseason, increasing the pressure on the rest of the Clippers.

If Hayward isn’t able to play, Jazz coach Quin Snyder would be forced to mix and match his lineups, much as he did in Games 1 and 4. “It was 87-80, and that’s on me”. Favors followed up his quiet performance with a 17-point, six-rebound performance in just 24 minutes off the bench, including an impressive defensive effort in the fourth quarter. The outcome of L.A.’s season could come down to whether or not they can contain him. Everybody doesn’t get an opportunity to see that. Paul scored twenty-seven and handed out twelve assists and collected nine rebounds. Johnson shot 70.6 percent from the field, the best he has ever shot in a playoff game. The Jazz got Rudy Gobert back in Game 4 and he looked healthy and springy.

The first half was winding down, and the clock had just ticked under four minutes remaining. “Joe Johnson and Joe Ingles, those two in particular were phenomenal tonight”. “I thought the turning point for us was Jamal’s fifth (foul) and they were small, and we had to take him out”.

“He’s a tough shot-maker”.

“So he’s just going to have to go out and play”, Doc Rivers said of Austin.

KEEP AN EYE ON: Clippers F Marreese Speights. The 3-1 advantage in the season was based upon the healthy Clippers playing the injured Jazz.

Third year small forward Rodney Hood dropped 18 points in 35 minutes of play off the bench. It is a rowdy crowd and a hard fought game like the previous two, and then in one single moment, the series turned. Just think about your thumbs and big toes are your main points of your body.
