Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin will miss a few more weeks of action after injuring his hand in an altercation with one of the team’s equipment managers, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.
The Clippers play at IN on Tuesday night. Griffin reportedly broke his hand in the incident and he will be out for at least another month Griffin already missed a month of action for the Clippers with a previous quad injury.
Coach Doc Rivers said Tuesday that the team would be releasing a statement about the incident and that it would be addressed more fully before the Clippers’ evening game in Indianapolis. They said an investigation is ongoing and being done with assistance from the National Basketball Association.
Griffin issued an apology Tuesday night on Twitter.
Griffin leads the Clippers in scoring at 23.2 points per game, while adding 8.7 rebounds and over five assists a contest in what was a fantastic start to the season. Rivers said via another tweet from Markazi.
Asked if he was satisfied with Griffin’s explanation of the incident, Rivers replied: “I’m not satisfied with anything”.
With Griffin, 26, missing his 14th straight game as he nurses a quadriceps injury, the Clippers lost 112-94 to Toronto on Sunday.
Guard J.J. Redick concurred. “I am working with the team on a resolution and getting back in the game as soon as possible”. “You could feel that (Tuesday)”.
“That deal would give the Cavaliers a better chance of beating the Golden State Warriors or San Antonio Spurs now and allow the Clippers to wait out this period in which those two teams dominate the Western Conference while developing a younger core of stars”. Not only just the people who were involved, but us, too.
But after a 72-68 lead on Paul George’s three-point play with 3:01 to go in the third quarter, the Clippers defense shut out in for almost eight minutes.
The Clippers were on the road in Toronto for a five-game road trip. Griffin then followed the member outside and struck him again.
