Cloud Cruiser launches AWS product enhancements

The new version of the app transforms AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, Amazon CloudWatch, and now Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) Flow Logs into easy-to-use dashboards that provide comprehensive security, compliance and operational insights into Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. Finally, inactive “cold” data is placed on Amazon S3 for the lowest cost and best data protection.

Providing a broad portfolio of data integration, application integration, data quality and master data management for cloud and hybrid architecture use cases, Informatica empowers enterprise customers and ISVs to take advantage of AWS services as they move their IT infrastructures to the cloud or run their SaaS offerings on AWS. The AMIs enable launch of the FortyCloud service on the Amazon Cloud without leaving the AWS Marketplace.

Tableau has also announced the availability of Tableau Server in the AWS Marketplace. Effective processing requires excellent data fed into the services, which has not been easy for any service as of yet. Lack of usage visibility and cost transparency are highlighted as key problem areas which have in turn created increased demand for new, flexible and easy to use solutions that drive efficiency, cost savings and a way to show business users exactly what services are being consumed. Managed Cloud for Adobe Experience Manager is now available in beta for US customers in the U.S. East (Northern Virginia), U.S. West (Oregon), and U.S. West (Northern California) AWS regions. – Rackspace Managed Securityfor AWS provides advanced host and network level threat detection with centralized security logging and analysis, all backed by a 24x7x365 Rackspace security operations center.

“Our data warehouse as a service is built entirely on the cloud”. CloudFusion uses the performance of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) and the cost-effectiveness Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3). For AWS to offer an analytics service that integrates directly with data already stored in the company’s cloud is nearly a no-brainer. Talking about the latest development to WSJ, Boris Evelson, a Forrester Research analyst says that this has the potential to become a force to reckon with.

Among the partners that the retailer’s cloud computing subsidiary Amazon Web Services announced at its re:Invent event in Seattle Tuesday: major cloud computing firm Rackspace.
