Cloverfield Lane Super Bowl Trailer Is Packed with Claustrophopia
For example, here we have a couple of last night’s highlights, the new TV spots that dropped for 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE and INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE. Meanwhile, John Gallagher Jr., Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Goodman headline a small cast of characters, who appear to be living out their remaining days in some form of nuclear banker.

The new film is produced through J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot. But it’s possible that this has been a monster movie all along, and it was fairly simple (and somewhat separate from the script/actors) to make the monster the Cloverfield monster. The idea was developed over time.
It’s good to hear the first signs of what might be the monster we’ve seen in the first Cloverfield. But, after Paramount struggled to figure out what to do with the film, they rejiggered the movie (originally titled Valencia) to connect it with the Cloverfield universe with some clever reshoots/editing.
The second trailer is a new spot for “Independence Day: Resurgence” which highlights all the mayhem and destruction you would hope to get from this kind of movie.

Paramount released the latest look at the Dan Trachtenberg directed film, which is promising to be the “blood relative” to the original Cloverfield, released back in 2008.
