CM Punk always had a dream to fight in the octagon, which came true at UFC 203.

CM Punk got dominated by MMA rookie Mickey Gall en route to a quick submission loss in one of the co-featured bouts at Saturday’s UFC 203 pay-per-view in Cleveland. Gall took control of the fight from the very beginning and it took only two minutes, 14 seconds for the 24-year old to earn his third professional MMA victory. Does he work even harder and try to comeback for another UFC fight?
Gall had promised to “destroy” Punk in the build-up to the fight and was quickly in control, shooting with a double-legged takedown. There may not be another big card there, but I could definitely see a Fight Night in Cleveland sometime in the future.
Punk, pinned up against the fencing, was unable to wriggle free from under Gall and was caught by numerous blows to the head, including a powerful right to the temple.
The UFC, already home to Anderson Silva, Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor, is seen as the place where fighters face the ultimate test of their skills. I just fell of a bike. Then it was I wasn’t gonna make weight. I’ve got to get back on the ride. I will be back, believe it or not, ‘ Punk added. He calls tonight the second best night of his life after getting married.
In fairness to Punk, it took a lot of courage to actually step into the Octagon like that.
CM Punk, the latest to make the move, said he’d got bored of the pro-wrestling world and saw mixed martial arts as a new challenge.
Looking confident and mugging for the sellout crowd, Punk, whose debut had been delayed by injuries, entered Quicken Loans Arena to “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour, the song he used for years on the WWE circuit.

The former WWE champion, 37, was eventually caught in a rear-naked choke hold and there was never going to be a way back for him once Gall had that locked in.
