CM Punk loses UFC debut fight

“This is what I want to do, man”, Gall said.

“In life, you go big or go home”, CM Punk told UFC commentator Joe Rogan after the contest had ended.

“I don’t know”, Brooks said. I beat up 10-year guys.

After last night’s defeat, Punk insisted that he doesn’t intend to throw in the towel: “It was a hell of a mountain to try and climb, I didn’t get to the summit today but it doesn’t mean I’m going to give up, it doesn’t mean I’m going to stop”.

Believe it or not, many wrestlers in the WWE didn’t take kindly to being called “pussies” the first several times and responded on Twitter, SportsCenter, and at a promotional event to the insults being hurled their way by the gritty Irish fighter. I’m not going to shelve it and leave it in the middle of the street.

Overeem netted an $800,000 payday, but failed to capture the UFC heavyweight championship when he fought champion Stipe Miocic on Saturday in Cleveland, Ohio.

When asked what he thinks Punk should do next, Gall stated that Punk should take some time off and then fight again. I’m a thinker. I saw the path, and this is where I want to be.

“When he didn’t shake my hand and he was giving me that hard look, I said, ‘You’re an actor”. You’re going to give him respect because you know he’s been through the same stuff. What if I get cut? He’s still a big superstar, so I think he will have another UFC fight.

“People can say I don’t belong here”.

Gall already has his next fight in mind, and that is against fellow UFC prospect Sage Northcutt.

Referring to the fact that another person with success in the WWE but little MMA experience, heavyweight Brock Lesnar, had lost his first UFC match, White said, “Having your first fight in the UFC is tough, and you see it tonight, even if it’s against a guy who’s 2-0. Now I get going with the UFC killers, and I can prove myself”.
