CM Punk refuses to shake Micky Gall’s hand at UFC 203 weigh-ins

Gall took down a fired up Punk as soon as the fight began and used ground-and-pound to open up a rear-naked choke submission, which forced the tap at the 2:14 mark of the very first round.

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently appeared on Notts TV News and during the interview Big Sexy talked CM Punk’s debut UFC fight.

Most folks likely figured CM Punk won’t be returning to the Octagon anytime soon, following UFC 203, and it sounds like Dana White doesn’t plan to bring him back. “It doesn’t matter how many times you fall down, you get back up”. This was a hell of a mountain to try to climb and I didn’t get to the summit today, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to give up, that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop. “He wanted to give it a shot, I gave him a shot”.

White also confirmed that Sage Northcutt’s camp had reached out to White following Mickey Gall’s win and that Sage is also keen for the fight with Gall.

With his debut match in UFC done and dusted, Punk knows that he lost an opportunity to make an impression. He was never the biggest or baddest guy in the WWE but he quickly ascended to the top of the promotion with his work ethic and great promos.

“I don’t know what happens from here”, he was quoted as saying on Daily Mail.

“He probably shouldn’t have his next fight in the UFC”, White said. I’m going to hurt you.’ And then he kept staring at me as he walked off. Punk, who is 37 years old, made the decision to transition to mixed martial arts from professional a successful professional wrestling career.

I said don’t ever put yourself down. “He was stuttering. He kept repeating, “oh you don’t want to shake my hand, you don’t want to shake my hand” or something like that”. “I’m for real, and I’m not going f–ing anywhere”.

“I think it’s not so much me but their feelings against him … so, I guess that’s kinda crappy”.
