CM Punk’s Post-UFC 203 Promo

Believe it or not, many wrestlers in the WWE didn’t take kindly to being called “pussies” the first several times and responded on Twitter, SportsCenter, and at a promotional event to the insults being hurled their way by the gritty Irish fighter.

In the UFC however, it was CM Punk that was getting dropped as he was taking out by Mickey Gall in very quick fashion. Having your first fight in the UFC is tough, as you see tonight, even if it is against a guy who’s 2-0.

Looking confident in front of a capacity crowd, Punk, whose debut had been delayed by injuries, entered Quicken Loans Arena to “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour, the song he used for years on the WWE circuit. Punk though has not got any indications from the authorities regarding such a move. And I think I’m supper happy that’s something that didn’t bother me at all. I’m just a guy who fell off a bike. “I knew my kill stuff was going to be more than his kill stuff”.

UFC president Dana White agreed, saying Punk probably won’t fight for the company for a little while. I will give him credit for one thing, he showed a lot of heart stepping into the Octagon.

“I’ll tell you what”, said McGregor. And Punk, for me, was the best entertainer in the business. “So I think he will have another fight”.

“In life you go big or you go home, I just like to take challenges”, Punk said. Mickey’s a hell of a fighter.

Punk hit back at criticism before the fight, stating that he was confident he would be victorious at UFC 203 in Cleveland. I’ve got to get back on to ride. After almost two years of training at Roufusport, Punk’s first Octagon foray offered little of note.

“I’m going to remember this for the rest of my life”, Miocic said.

In his chat with the aforementioned Rogan, Punk assured fans that his MMA adventure wasn’t at an end, before delivering a motivational speech worthy of the cheesiest 1980’s teen movie…and we don’t mean that in a derogatory sense.
