CM Sindh gives Junaid Jamshed assurance to clean Karachi
Syed Murad Ali Shah told the media that he belongs to Karachi and wants to bring its lights and colours back.

The prime minister directed the water and power minister and the secretary to meet the chief minister and mutually resolve the issues. The Prime Minister, in response, said that the Federal Government is with provincial government and assured him that the inclusion of the projects in CPEC would be considered positively. “We have always received the support of the Prime Minister and we are hopeful to be receiving the continued support of the prime minister and federal government in future, as well”, said the Chief Minister.
Murad assured the prime minister of the complete support of the provincial government on the implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Addressing a press conference after his meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Shah started off by thanking Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari for posing confidence in him.
Talking about his meeting with the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister said that Nawaz Sharif has assured him all out cooperation in meeting the challenges.
The chief minister also expressed his anger on the municipal staff over not doing their work.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah met Nawaz Sharif on Friday for the first time since taking charge amid the controversy surrounding the extension of Rangers’ powers in the province.
Later talking to the media persons in Islamabad, the Sindh Chief Minister said the provincial government will keep its focus to improving law and order situation in the province.
He said there was 18 to 20 hours loadshedding in certain areas of Sindh and said he had taken up the issue with the prime minister who had directed the Ministry of Water and Power to take concrete steps in this regard. “I am playing the warm-up match, those who could not deliver would not be the part of my team”, he said. Both personalities also exchanged views regarding the development projects. While answering a question, Shah said that late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had said that politics is the paradise of the people.
“I requested the PM to expedite the release of funds for solar and energy wind projects in Sindh and he asked me to give an undertaking”, he said, adding that he would soon give the undertaking that the province would end the electricity crisis by 2018.

With regard to the presence of Rangers in Karachi, he said that the paramilitary force had been granted special powers in the province for 90 days only.
