CNBC reaches 14 million viewers with GOP debate

The third Republican debate was crucial for Bush, who many believed needed to quickly and emphatically reverse his campaign’s “death spiral”.

The focus of the third Republican presidential debate was the economy.

This week’s debate also competed against the second game of the World Series.

Bush, whose diminished standing in the race was noted by the debate moderators, was not a factor for much of the night.

Mr Ryan, who had been serving as the chairman of the powerful Ways and Means Committee, won 236 votes among the 247 Republicans in the chamber, largely quelling the rebellion of members of the right-wing Freedom Caucus who had forced Mr Boehner out and then blocked the election of his chosen successor, Kevin McCarthy of California.

Gregg joined Bush at Geno’s Chowder House in Portsmouth, along with state Senate President Chuck Morse, who endorsed Bush two weeks ago.

Still, the question is being asked, as is another basic one – does Jeb Bush want it badly enough? He said Thursday that he hopes the backlash after this week’s debate will serve as a “very important moment in American politics”, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Regarding the overall debate, Trump declared to thunderous applause: “Yeah, we did well”.

“Someone has convinced you that attacking me is going to help you”, Rubio said.

In the CNBC debate at the University of Colorado-Boulder, Bush attacked Rubio for missing as many as 99 votes on the Senate floor because he was on the presidential campaign.

Cruz has been a strong fundraiser in the presidential race, with his campaign reporting $26.6 million in contributions since his March announcement.

While railing against debate formats might seem frivolous, it may pay dividends from base Republican voters energized by criticism of traditional media.

“This is not a cage match”, declared Cruz, referring to pro wrestling in a steel cage. And if you look at the questions: Donald Trump, are you a comic book villain? Ben Carson, the leader in a New York Times-CBS News poll released last week, advocated for a “change of format”. John Kasich, will you insult two people over here? “You should be showing up to work”, he told Rubio, jumping in on a CNBC question about Rubio’s voting record.

“Why are you pointing out Rubio and not a few of the other candidates?” asked Lee.

“When we put all the facts down, you’ll be able to see that it’s not true”. Trump accused Quick of incorrectly quoting him, and it took her several minutes to prove her point. And we’re talking about fantasy football! Next was Chris Christie, Governor of New Jersey, jumped the moderators when a question was raised about fantasy football. Candidates complained that they were asked too many “gotcha” questions while viewers griped on social media that the questions lacked substance. He said candidates prepared for a substantive debate. I’m not going to say [Marco] Rubio, who really is way down.
