CNBC’s GOP Debate Sets Network Record, Even With Dropoff

Other criticism of the media during the debate came when co-moderator Carl Quintanilla asked Sen.
Fund praised Cruz from his comments and pointed out that Christie, Rubio, and Donald Trump also took turns at knocking the moderators and their questions.
“I think at this point, if five or six of us get together, who generate the largest portion of the audience, we can force change”, he said.

Cruz has been a strong fundraiser in the presidential race, with his campaign reporting $26.6 million in contributions since his March announcement. He said Thursday that he hopes the backlash after this week’s debate will serve as a “very important moment in American politics”, according to the Wall Street Journal.
