“But you can have all of the growth that you want and it doesn’t mean anything if all of the new income and wealth is going to the top 1 percent”.

“Sanders … had a mission”, Klein said. According to a September 2015 Bloomberg poll, Democrats oppose Citizens United-shorthand for “money in politics”-by an 83 to 13 percent margin”.
Clinton has come under fire for using personal email accounts to address State Department matters.
The next Democratic debate is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, at Drake University in Iowa and will air on CBS.
This rolling ball of pixels – the after-debate, if you will – is in many ways the most consequential aspect of the event. But those declarations came from a genuine observation, that Hillary Clinton did not visibly stumble – except in answer to one question: whether she considers herself a moderate or a progressive.
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump wasn’t impressed by his Democratic rivals’ performance during their first debate Tuesday night.
All of which points to the same problem facing Democrats that may yet motivate Vice President Joe Biden to join the fray: There’s not much in this field to truly challenge Ms. Clinton and, even if she’s the nominee, that’s not necessarily to her benefit.

All three major candidates agree on this, though once again Clinton prefers a more timid approach: She backs “enhancing” Social Security but did not explicitly support expanding benefits across the board.
Tuesday, however, was all about policy – in other words, right in Clinton’s wheelhouse – and she continued the discussion at the campaign stop, defending her newly found opposition to the Asian free-trade deal, hated by organized labor; and vowing to resist Republicans’ “shortsighted attempts to undermine unions”. Democrats are the party of what the political consultants like to call kitchen-table issues – family leave, higher wages, and kids being able to afford college – while Republicans are the party of ideology and abstractions.
The biggest question is still Joe Biden.

And she said Washington should stand up to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “bullying”, a veiled shot at the Obama administration’s – and ostensibly Biden’s – handling of the war in Syria. She called him “a great moral leader” on racial issues and defended his decision to use US forces in Libya.
