Miguel Herrera’s insane ways on the sidelines made him a legend at the 2014 Federation Internationale de Football Association World Cup, but his passion might have boiled over recently, potentially landing him in serious trouble.
According to TV Azteca reporter David Medran, while taking an escalator to passport control, Herrera, who was with his daughter, lashed out at journalist Christian Martinoli, who is known for his critical views of the Mexican team and the coach.
“He threatened me, he challenged me to fight and he told me ‘this is how it is going to be every time I see you, ‘” Martinoli said.
Univision reported Tuesday Mexico players Giovani dos Santos and Jonathan dos Santos posted messages on Twitter in support of Herrera’s actions toward Martinoli.
