Coach visits mound to tell pitcher ‘I love you’

During a recent World Series game against Italy, Papa Jensen came out to the mound, which in most baseball games means he was going to give the pitcher some advice.

The heartwarming moment occurred during a consolation game between Italy and OR yesterday.

If only every baseball game had an “I love you”.

OR was playing Italy and had a lead of 6-0 thanks in part to the pitching of Isaiah Jensen, but after walking a batter late in the game, his head went down – a sight his father Joel wasn’t going to let ruin a great game. What followed was one of the most touching father-son moments you’ll ever witness on a field of play. ‘Kay? Understand? Come right after him.

The team’s pitching coach, is Isaiah’s father, who made a decision to pump up his boys’ tires by visiting the mound and delivering a message.

Isaiah would end up striking out the next batter and his OR team would go on to win 6-2, all thanks to some solid coaching and even better fatherly advice.
