“The individual was able to direct us right to him with his portable VHF radio”, Petty Officer 2nd Class Jamison Larson said.

As of 10:45 p.m. the helicopters departed the scene and a small boat was wrapping up its part of the search, no signs of any people were found.
Other agencies involved in the search are: U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, Customs and Border Protection, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Coast Guard noted.
The Coast Guard also had issued an Urgent Marine Information to notify boaters in the area to contact the Coast Guard if they spot anything.
The Coast Guard says it’s still optimistic two teenage fishermen missing at sea can be found alive.
Officials said they will hold a news conference in Miami late Tuesday afternoon.
Finding the teen’s boat Sunday helped Coast Guard crews assess and narrow their search area, taking the Gulf Stream into account and expanding their search 50 miles off the coast of Jacksonville.
Anne Butcher and Buddy Duncan share the same passion for fishing that drove Austin and Perry out to sea Friday.
He says the Coast Guard is constantly looking at a mix of factors to determine whether the search should continue.
Their 19-foot boat was found capsized Sunday off of Merritt Island, more than 180 miles from where they started their journey in the Jupiter area. One life vest was located not too far from it. Officials don’t know how many life vests may have been on the boat.
The teens could likely survive about four or five days in the water in current conditions, Coast Guard Captain Mark Fedor told ABC News on Tuesday.
