Cocaine Found on Scott Weiland’s Tour Bus
Tributes poured in on Friday for rock singer Scott Weiland, the troubled ex-frontman for the band Stone Temple Pilots, who was found dead in Minnesota during a tour stop with his new band, The Wildabouts. The same substance was found in the room belonging to Scott Weiland.

Weiland’s Facebook page said that he died in his sleep. “Additional information related to cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office at a later date/time”. His music with Stone Temple Pilots back in the mid-90s was iconic rock.
Stone Temple Pilots disbanded in 2002 and during that time Weiland joined the band Velvet Revolver, which also held former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash. “And I guess you can only hope that this example resonates with some people about the choices they make while they’re young and what the consequences are”.
Weiland’s former bandmates posted on Facebook on Friday that while he “struggled” in his life, he was also “gifted beyond words”. The Bloomington Police officers Department exposed in that upon their search they found a suspected controlled substance in that field tested as cocaine.
All of our love and respect.
Weiland had a history of substance abuse issues, and according to London’s Mail Online, he had been using crack cocaine recently, though no official cause of death has been determined.
Weiland was found dead on his tour bus on the same night he was to play a gig in Minnesota with his current band, The Wildabouts.
Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts, were scheduled to tour this month, with upcoming dates in Reno, Nevada, on December 18 and City Winery in Napa, Calif., on December 19.
Meanwhile, Velvet Revolver said, “We are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of our old friend and bandmate, Scott Weiland”.
“He [Scott] was the best he has ever been”, she said. Although critically controversial, Stone Temple Pilots were one of the most successful bands to emerge from the grunge movement of the 1980s and ’90s.
