Colbert To Trump: Was Obama Born In The United States?
Although Trump had for years hammered away at Obama’s citizenship, he declined to take a swing at this particular meatball, simply saying, “I don’t talk about that anymore”.

Colbert started off by gently apologizing for having made fun of Trump for the better part of a decade.
Trump was the latest presidential hopeful to appear on Colbert’s opening weeks at the helm of The Late Show.
“I don’t get into it…I talk about jobs, I’m talking about the military”, Trump said during his phone interview with George Stephanopolous.
Trump won in his appearance on “The Late Show“, says Deadline.com, a news website that covers Hollywood.
Earlier in the decade, the billionaire businessman questioned whether Barack Obama had been born in the United States, prompting the president to release his birth certificate in 2011.
Colbert went on to say that he had been searching through a few of Trump’s old quotes, and due to their similarity to a few things he himself had said in the past on The Colbert Report, he devised a game of Trump or Colbert? to play with the GOP candidate, and clear things up. Can you tell who said it? “We have been abused for a long time“, Trump said about his plans to secure the boarder around Mexico.
Trump or Colbert? “Medicare is like a nice pair of cufflinks”.
The new “Late Night” host has been tougher than others on presidential candidates in his brief stint thus far, and even had Sen. Colbert asked. “It would be my great honor”.
Trump talked about how the country has big problems, including the fallout from the invasion of Iraq, which Trump said cost us $2 trillion, and thousands of lives, and de-stablized the Middle East.
Colbert then threw a “meatball” question at Trump, simply asking whether President Obama was born in the U.S. “I don’t talk about it anymore. We need global warming!” read one.
“No, I’m not blaming America“, Trump answered.

Tuesday was a gamble for Trump since Colbert isn’t known to pull punches with his guests, especially those in the political realm.
