Authorities say Jimmy Andrew Suggs and Zackary Ryan Kuykendall, both from Alabama, face felony arson charges because of the dangers the fire poses.

“The fire didn’t have a lot of activity overnight”, said Gabi Boerkircher, spokeswoman for the Boulder County Office of Emergency Management.
Two campers from Alabama were arrested for arson in the Cold Springs Fire, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman, identified as Elizabeth Burdeshaw, 20, also of Vinemont, is not facing charges as she had no involvement in creating, maintaining or extinguishing the fire, police said.
They were arrested Sunday at a shelter for people evacuated by the fire, which has burned about a square mile.
The Cold Springs Fire, which is west of Boulder, was sparked on Saturday and has since charred 536 acres.
Authorities are warning that shifting high winds and high temperatures on Sunday could put more homes in danger. They believe winds in the area, combined with the weather, allowed the ashes to rekindle, sparking the fire to spread from their campsite.
The pair was arrested from an evacuation site, and they are being held at the Boulder County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
Homes and property in mountainous or rural areas can be vulnerable to wildfires as well.
“Just be reassured that these crews are actively working to protect and save your home”, Pelle told a community meeting in Nederland on Monday afternoon. Three homes were destroyed by the blaze, with the sheriff’s office saying it expected that number to increase. More than 200 firefighters were deployed to fight the flames, aided by about a dozen aircraft. They built a campfire, letting it burn into Friday morning, according to a statement issued by sheriff’s commander Mike Wagner.
