Prior to finishing her hit single “Hello”, Adele told the crowd: “You are f**king wonderful!”

“You look incredible!” she screamed as the song reached its coda, before inviting the audience to sing with her.

“This is mad. I’m going straight into another one, my darlings, I don’t know what to say to you”, said the overwhelmed singer, launching into Rumour Has It. “I’ve wanted to do it all my life”, and within less than half hour, she declared it was the “best f**king moment of my whole life”.

She explained she had been coming to the festival for years but had been putting off making her debut because she was so nervous about it, saying, “I’ve been too scared”.

Adele demonstrated why she’s the most popular recording artist of our generation last night with a heartwarming performance at Glastonbury Festival, in which she was adorably gross.

When she was announced as a headliner some people doubted whether she was the right fit for such a big festival, particularly because many of her songs are ballads and rather slow tempo, however, her smashing set proved those pessimists wrong.

Throughout her 90-minute set, the Grammy victor belted her biggest hits, including “Hello”, “Rolling In the Deep” and “Someone Like You”, as well as some fan favorites from her latest album, 25.

However, one of the things that the singer has been criticized for her is her language, the singer has a lovely singing voice but a very opposite speaking voice. She told Jo Whiley ahead of the set on Saturday night her son was her reason for taking to the Pyramid Stage and said she’d agreed while watching Kanye with Emily Eavis from the wings back in 2015.

By NME’s count, Adele cursed 33 times during her headlining set. She also took a minute to collect some gifts from the crowd, which included a Muppet-like doll and a red fez hat, which she immediately donned.

This year’s edition, headlined by Muse, Adele, Coldplay, LCD Soundsystem, Tame Impala, and Disclosure, began on Thursday, welcoming droves of music fans to the legendary site as they got comfortable with their surroundings. This is surreal. This is the best moment of my life.
