Coldplay recognise late band Viola Beach at Glastonbury

Martin, who carried a flag with the word “love” emblazed on it, also gave a touching speech and musical tribute to the indie group Viola Beach, whose four members, were killed in a auto accident in February.

He continued, “We’re going to create Viola Beach’s alternate future for them and let them headline Glastonbury with their song”.

The band then launched into the track, with footage of the late group performing projected onto the Pyramid Stage’s huge screen. Bringing the band together for an intimate performance of the song at the front of the stage, he halted them just after beginning, noting that his piano was out of tune with the rest of the band.

However, festival organisers report more cars had the left site by 9am than at the same stage a year ago, and that traffic is moving freely outside of the site.

Last night Coldplay played an incredible set at Glastonbury festival in the United Kingdom but what really made the performance was the appearance of his children and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow on the stage.

“You’ve been through rain, mud, carnage basically, the collapse of the country”, said Martin, marvelling at the audience’s spirit and energy.

Gibb then performed the Bee Gees hits To Love Somebody and Stayin’ Alive with the band who were playing their record fourth headline slot.

“They’re really polite and they have a lot of empathy”, she shared.

Early reports from Avon and Somerset Police suggest that Glastonbury Festival 2016 could be set for the lowest crime rate in its history.

Coldplay’s headlining set ended a wet Glastonbury Festival.

She also pulled a 10-year-old girl up on stage for a selfie, said the BBC had warned her over her “potty-mouth”, and thanked Sir Michael Eavis for inviting her to perform.
