Coleman blames Arsenal for Ramsey injury
Wenger allowed Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny extra time to recover after their involvement at Euro 2016, and Coleman believes only Arsenal can answer why Ramsey was treated differently.

CHRIS Coleman has again clashed with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger after he was forced to omit Aaron Ramsey from his Wales squad.
The 25-year-old produced a superb run of form to help lead his country during a shock run to the semi-finals of Euro 2016, winning a place alongside compatriot Joe Allen in Uefa’s official Team of the Tournament after scoring once and providing four assists.
Chris Coleman says Aaron Ramsey’s injury could have been prevented and admits he was surprised to see the midfielder start the season.
“I think, to a man, if you were looking at that [team sheet], it was a bit of a surprise he started”. He’s still a human being and it was a long tournament, it’s not like we were knocked out in the group stages.
Wales will also be without Jonny Williams who picked up an injury during pre-season and Aaron Ramsey is left out following a hamstring injury.
The three goalkeepers remain the same, but Newcastle defender Paul Dummett has been added to the list of defenders as Coleman names one less midfielder in Ramsey’s absence. I don’t think it’s fair on them, and I’m talking about the England players as well’. They love a player that plays with his heart on his sleeve and they’ll get that with Ash on top of his qualities.
“One thing we’ve got around us at the minute – and you can smell it on us – is the players have got an identity”.
“Why should we mess about with what we’ve got?” So I won’t use that against Arsenal.
Meanwhile Coleman said he was “fully focused” on the Wales job, despite an attempt by Hull earlier in the summer to poach him.
“If the campaign doesn’t go great and I sit down with Jonathan (Ford, FAW chief executive) and David Griffiths (FAW president) towards the end of it, then that’s different”. “That’s not to say that is the Premier League”.
