Colin Cowherd Makes Dumb Comments About Dominican Baseball Players
“The Dominican Republic has not been known in my lifetime as having world class academic abilities”, Cowherd continued.

But ESPN has been too meek to do anything about it. Considering that Fox Sports knew exactly who it was bidding on, one presumes that company will be just as willing to profit off of Cowherd’s idiotic musings no matter how gauche they become.
Baseball players are irate with ESPN’s Colin Cowherd and have demanded an apology after the radio host made disparaging remarks about Dominican players.
“It’s baseball. You don’t think a general manager can manage? A third of the sport is from the Dominican Republic“.
Cowherd has said and done a lot of really ridiculous things over the last decade or so. Arguing that only four percent of the sport has college degrees and that a third of the players don’t speak “the primary language of this country, so communication can be tough, but everybody plays it and gets along fine”. “And there are all sorts of smart people from the Dominican Republic“. “I understand that when you mention a specific country, they get offended”, Cowherd said. He did in fact say that he’s leaving the “Worldwide Leader”, and he did also go out of his way to say that there’s no bad blood between the two sides, he just wants to open up another challenge for himself. I get excited. I’m not gonna lie.
The radio host said his comments were taken out of context. “I’m not saying that there’s not intelligent, educated people from the Dominican Republic“. The player’s union, however, has not released an official statement. “I cringe at the data too”.

“On Thursday, Cowherd was talking about whether a baseball team’s general manager could leave their executive role and serve as a capable manager for the team, similar to the Miami Marlins” Dan Jennings in the current season. It has been reported that Cowherd will be working for Fox Sports, though he has not confirmed that report.
