For quite some time now the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has been making additions to its cast, and now the project is expanding that cast further with the addition of Irish actor Colin Farrell.

Farrell will play Graves – a wizard who Newt Scamander (played by Oscar victor Eddie Redmayne) encounters during his travels through New York as he documents the magical creatures who inhabit our world.

For some, they see the book as a way to satiate the demand of fans clamoring for more titles of everyone’s favorite wizard. The events of Fantastic Beasts take place 70 years before Harry Potter reads Newt’s book in school.

J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros also recently held a casting call for a girl aged between eight and 12 to star as Modesty.
