Colin Kaepernick: Jim Tomsula declines to discuss Kaepernick
Following Tomsula’s comments Monday, the 2-6 49ers dealt long-time TE Vernon Davis to the Broncos, seemingly backing up the coach’s assertion that the team is in evaluation mode.

“We’re evaluating all of it right now”, Tomsula said.
Colin Kaepernick looked like Colin Kaepernick in Sunday’s 27-6 loss to the St. Louis Rams, and that is not a good thing.
“To me, I’m doing everything I can to win games”, he said. “The San Francisco 49ers didn’t play good enough”.
Two games without a touchdown puts Colin Kaepernick on the watch list.
Kaepernick completed just 20 of 41 passes for 162 yards.
The problem for Tomsula is a lack of alternatives.
Blaine Gabbert is the team’s backup plan, and that speaks volumes about Kaepernick’s dismal recent displays.
Tomsula said: “I know where we’re going with this questioning”.
