Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has not thrown an interception in 72… In the receiving end, Larry Fitzgerald had 112 yards and three touchdowns in eight receptions while John Brown added 45 yards in five receptions.

“So, in terms of maybe finding his groove, we talked about last time we talked, maybe how much he’s improved from his rookie year, his 10th game in the Super Bowl, pretty wonderful”.

Colin Kaepernick has thrown for 500 yards and has not yet been…

Coach Jim Harbaugh parted ways with the 49ers after the season and was replaced by another coach named Jim Tomsula.

If Kaepernick is pushed out of the pocket though without going down, then I could see where things might not appear to have changed. You saw that Sunday. “And we’ll go out there and play”.

Even though he wasn’t forced to deal with much pressure against the Vikings, Kaepernick’s accuracy from the pocket was suspect, and he struggled converting third downs through the air.

“On defense, we played better situational football, especially when the field got short”, said Coach Mike Tomlin. He returned the final punt for a 4-yard gain, and he averaged 23.5 yards on two kickoff returns, neither of which reached the 20-yard line. He collected a career-best 639 last season.

“The biggest thing is I’m being asked to be myself this year, ” San Francisco’s fifth-year quarterback said. And I think that’s a complement to his unique skill set. So it’s a comfort zone for me.

“To me, the most remarkable thing about Pittsburgh was 90 plays”, 49ers offensive coordinator Geep Chryst said.

Not surprisingly, Kaepernick, often less than expansive with reporters, declined to talk specifics. Both Kevin Minter and Alex Okafor are playing starter’s snaps, but the Cardinals want to get the other guys off the field in most situations to get those versatile safeties patrolling the middle of the field. Is that what he was getting at?

“We’re not asking for the same things”.

Chryst, the quarterbacks coach the previous four seasons, was forthcoming Thursday when discussing the offseason alterations to the offense.

As for their new coach, Kaepernick said that he is not being asked to do something new, as reported by ESPN.

“You know, a playbook is something that you build upon based on confidence”, Chryst said. “…And we’ve just gone down with a reset-button hit here to play back to Kap’s strengths, of which there are many”.

“We’re willing to have him run the ball”.

Kaepernick wouldn’t detail what he meant, but sources close to him confirmed he is enjoying this year’s offensive changes. Though it should be emphasized that many of his numbers came in the second half of Sunday’s loss in Pittsburgh, when the game already was lost and in rout mode, his 98.1 rating is better than that of Drew Brees, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson. Bryant will miss two more games but it’s not hard to imagine what the 6’4″, 211 pound receiver brings to the table: “another redzone threat on a roster brimming with them.
