Colin Kaepernick: Texans not interested in Colin Kaepernick
A few hours later, agents for Kaepernick, who is still recovering from surgeries to his left shoulder, right thumb and left knee, told the league-owned NFL Network they wanted permission from the Niners to seek a trade. “Chip thinks he would be a great fit for our offense”.

Kaepernick’s $11.9 million base salary becomes guaranteed on April 1, but York said paying Kaepernick is not an issue for the team.
The San Francisco 49ers appear to be a team that star quarterback Colin Kaepernick does not want to grow with after the news that his agents requested for a trade emerged. “We expect Kap to be here”. But if a team really likes Kaepernick’s potential, then isn’t that kind of money worth forking over for a one-year try?
When Kaepernick signed his massive contract extension, many pointed out the fact that it was a team-friendly deal that included multiple ways for the team to get out of the deal if things went south with Kaepernick.
But the Browns have no such interest at this time, and John McClain of the Houston Chronicle tweeted Sunday: ‘By the way, the Texans have no interest in trading for Colin Kaepernick’. Bill O’Brien is known as a quarterback “fixer” and he would have in Kaepernick the most talented signal caller he’s had since working with Tom Brady. But you also need to keep in mind that the 49ers still committed a lot of money to him and felt good about doing so. The 2011 2nd rounder threw for 1,615 passing yards, 6 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in nine games last season.
Ideally, the 49ers would trade Kaepernick to the Houston Texans, which would still leave the Cleveland Browns as the team most likely to take the highest quarterback in the draft.
The 49ers have an opportunity to rid themselves of this contract, but might be trying to hold onto Kaepernick for trade value.

The Browns followed suit, denying any reports of interest.
