Colin Powell Calls Donald Trump a ‘National Disgrace’ in Hacked Emails

Donald Trump is a “national disgrace”, Hillary Clinton constantly “screws up with hubris”, and Bill Clinton is out there “dicking bimbos” – all this according to the leaked personal emails of former secretary of State Colin Powell.

In an email from July of 2014, Powell tells mega Democratic donor Jeffrey Leeds that he would rather not vote for Hillary.

Congressional Democrats have seized on the use of a private email addresses by Powell and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as a foil for Republican attacks on Clinton.

Powell’s leaked emails were provided to representatives of DCLeaks.com, which has a relationship with the hacker or hackers who refer to themselves as Guccifer 2.0, which has been alleged to be connected to the Russian intelligence apparatus.

Powell, who was secretary of state from 2001 to 2005, confirmed to NBC that the leaked messages were authentic, and said the hackers were in possession of “a lot more”.

Powell’s email to Emily Miller – his deputy press secretary at the State Department, sent on June 17, 2016 criticized Trump for being “in the process of destroying himself, no need for the [Democrats] to attack him” and called him a birther.

Mr Powell also accused Mr Trump of having embraced a “racist” movement when the billionaire aggressively questioned the validity of President Obama’s birth certificate and his legitimacy to serve as the country’s top elected official. “That’s what the 99% believe”.

In the emails, Powell said he stayed relatively quiet during the rise of Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.

“I will say on his email, I did receive a few of his AOL emails when I was at the State Department”, Bolton said.

But it seems Powell was particularly annoyed that his name kept popping up in reports about Clinton’s ongoing scandals. The Intercept, an online news publication, produced four different email chains in which Powell slams Clinton on everything from her use of a private email server, to her husband and her age. He told her team many times not to “tie” him into their excuses.

“Everything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris”, he said in an email previous year to his business partner Jeffrey Leeds. During an interview with FBI investigators, the Democratic nominee said Powell had advised her to use a personal email and that he did the same while serving as secretary of state.

Lemon attempted once again to get her to discuss the Powell emails specifically, and she declined.

“Wow, I didn’t follow rules”, Powell wrote.

Powell has yet to officially endorse a candidate for president, but it’s abundantly clear that he will not be supporting this year’s Republican nominee.
