“Collateral Beauty”Watch Will Smith, Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley in 1st trailer”
The melodrama, directed by The Devil Wears Prada helmer David Frankel, stars Will Smith alongside Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, and many more, and today, Warner Bros. releases the first trailer for the film.

The Warner Bros. and New Line drama stars Smith as a NY ad man who is sent into a downward spiral after a tragic event, which seems him writing letters to the three entities. His friends, played by Edward Norton, Kate Winslet, Michael Pena, and Ann Dowd – what a talented group of friends I must say! – are all concerned about his depression until suddenly he gets an It’s a Wonderful Life twist. Jackman eventually left, as did Mara.
Sure, script tinkering ultimately resulted in Smith enjoying a greater role as Deadshot – at the cost of Scott Eastwood and the like – but there’s no denying that his quip-happy sharpshooter was one of the few highlights.

David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me) directed the poignant drama, due out on December 16. Smith also starred in Suicide Squad this year. Of course, we’re over three months away from seeing what Collateral Beauty actually is, and Frankel is known for sneaking in several moments of curiousity and fascinating ideas into his studio comedies and melodramas.
