Collins: Clinton ‘has always been someone with her hand out’
Bondi, who is now a top Trump supporter in Florida, decided not to pursue the case.

The donation was three years ago.
Why is the contribution in the news right now?
The Trump Foundation on its 2013 tax return then incorrectly reported that the $25,000 was paid not to the pro-Bondi political group, but to a similarly named charity in Kansas that got no Trump money.
However, the Trump campaign could not elaborate on when the IRS fine was paid, when Trump and Bondi spoke, or what they talked about.
It is illegal for an elected official to accept a campaign contribution in direct exchange for taking government action. “Never. Many of the AGs turned that case down because I’ll win that case in court, many turned that down.I just have a lot of respect for her and she’s very popular”. “Trump’s is used to pay off your attorney general”. NY accused the so-called university of bilking students who had signed up to learn the billionaire’s money-making secrets.
August 2013: New York’s attorney general files a lawsuit against Trump, accusing Trump University of perpetrating fraud.
– There was never an investigation by this office into Trump University in 2013.
Reports indicate that Trump held a $3,000-per-person fundraiser at his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Palm Beach for Bondi.
According to a Sentinel report from the time, it was one of the biggest contributions the campaign committee had received.
Could politics really force an investigation to get dropped? In fact, the spokesman says Pam Bondi didn’t even know there were complaints against Trump.
Later, Trump’s campaign spokeswoman said that Trump had actually spoken to Bondi but only about the donation.
The tax complaint [PDF link] was filed in March by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW).
It wasn’t enough to justify Florida filing suit. No decision has been made. “I will not be collateral damage in a presidential campaign, nor will I be a woman bullied by Hillary Clinton”, Bondi told Fox Business Network.
Bondi has not waived confidentiality. Pam Bondi took office in 2011. “These allegations are completely without merit, and the process is confidential to ensure that specious claims are not validated by the continuous spread of completely false allegations”. His foundation gave $25,000 to a group supporting her campaign.
She ultimately did not, the Huffington Post notes. “I don’t think this was a lengthy, memorable call”, she told the Associated Press. Clinton told reporters Monday that there are “so many things that are questionable” about the Trump donation to Bondi, while her husband, former president Bill Clinton, sought Wednesday to draw a distinction between the Clinton and Trump foundations.
But when exactly did they meet?
Bondi would not respond to Times/Herald questions.
“I was a businessman”, he said in an August 2015 Republican debate.
In recent years, Trump has made tens of thousands of dollars in contributions to at least four state attorneys general – Bondi of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas, both Republicans, and Democrats Eric Schneiderman of NY and Kamala Harris of California – whose offices have looked into complaints about Trump University. The accusations against Clinton – built off emails showing Clinton Foundation aides asking top State Department aides for special meetings for Clinton donors – have contributed to a significant tightening of the race for the White House with just a little more than two months to go. Bondi’s office says there was never any recommendation of an investigation into Trump University.
Years later, Trump came under fire from the FEC for violating a $25,000 annual limit on contributions in the late 1980s.

“It was refunded and he declined to accept the refund because he had already taken care of the issue with the IRS”, Watkins said.
