Colts DL Arthur Jones suspended for four games for violating PED policy
Defensive end Arthur Jones will miss the first four games of the 2016 National Football League season due to a failed test for performance enhancing drugs.

This just another unfortunate twist in Art Jones deal for the Indianapolis Colts and general manager Ryan Grigson. While it’s unclear whether or not Jones would have made the roster or even remained healthy through the season, the Colts need all of the help that they can get on defense – so his suspension certainly does not help very much.
Jones missed seven games of the 2014 season to an ankle injury, and then missed all of last season to another ankle injury, this time surgery to fix torn ligaments. Jones will be eligible to participate in the Colts’ preseason games and practices. The suspension now makes it impossible he could earn the full difference back, and it’s possible the Colts could cut Jones; doing so would cost .3 million in dead money against the salary cap. His brother Jon Jones – yes, that Jon Jones – was recently caught doping before UFC 200.

Jones, 30, played at Syracuse from 2006 to 2009, and his 38.5 career tackles for loss are the most in school history for an interior defensive lineman.
