Colts, Falcons kick off in Atlanta

DiMarco tilted fantasy owners by scoring a pair of wide-open red-zone touchdowns early in the game.

Coleman entered Week 11 with modest production to the tune of 42 carries for 183 yards and one touchdown in seven contests. His last hope at sticking around with the Colts was the move away from the rush linebacker spot to hopefully utilize his run defense more, but he hasn’t produced there either. He also had a fumble recovery off Colts’ running back Frank Gore in the first quarter.

Prior to exiting the game Freeman looked primed to have a monster day. Freeman’s huge carry to open up the game was proof enough of that, I think, and we’re left wondering what might have been. Hasselbeck is 2-0 this year as the starting quarterback.

“They’re well-coached, they’re fast, they’re physical, they’re flying around”, Hasselbeck said. “Matt gives us the ability to do a lot of different things still”. “They started out 5-0, undefeated, they were winning the turnover battle and for whatever reason the last four weeks the ball hasn’t gone their way that way”.

But that was with quarterback Andrew Luck under center. The Colts can’t afford to let him repeatedly move the chains while they’re anxious about containing Jones. The National Football League single-season record is Marvin Harrison’s 143 receptions for the Indianapolis Colts in 2002.

Worrilow said it’s evident that the Falcons’ continue to come up short because they aren’t finishing on the field. And Indianapolis will be short-handed: This will be the Colts’ first outing without stud rookie defensive tackle Henry Anderson, lost for the year with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. In five games since returning, he has totaled 13 carries. Even if he does, Minnesota now seems like the better team.

The Colts and Falcons went into their respective bye weeks with a very different state of mind.

“Those numbers don’t mean anything to me”, Jones said on Thursday about his personal stats. “So it makes for an interesting game when you have two teams coming off the bye week playing each other”.

The Colts are expecting a barrage of passes to Jones as Atlanta tries to snap out of its offensive funk. Most of their games started off slow, but they managed to turn on the burners to really put many of those teams out of their misery at the end.
