Colts give Luck some help by taking center in 1st round
The Colts have five picks on Saturday, two in round four, one in round five and two in the seventh and final round of the draft. And Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck should be very happy. “We moved eight spots (down), got two picks out of it and still got our guys”. With the selection of Kelly, the Colts get a reliable player to help shore up the offensive line aside from Anthony Castonzo and Jack Mewhort.

Ridgeway dealt with back and shoulder injuries before leaving school with one year of eligibility remaining and some scouts question where he’ll play with consistent effort.
Ryan Grigson earned a slow clap for his decision as general manager of the Indianapolis Colts to draft center Ryan Kelly out of Alabama with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Clark will likely open his career pushing Joe Reitz and Denzelle Good for playing time at right tackle.
They started by taking big-hitting safety T.J. Green in the second round and started Saturday by choosing 314-pound defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway from Texas and Florida inside linebacker Antonio Morrison in the fourth round.
Unanimous. Kelly, a three-year letter victor at Alabama, is considered the best center in the draft. How obvious? On my radio show, all month we spoke to players who were projected to go to the Colts. Andrew Luck took a beating throughout the season and ended up missing a big chunk of games. Ever since the team drafted Luck, they have done a bad job with putting talent around him.
With five remaining selections in the draft, the Colt’s front-office looks to further improve their roster and fill up more holes. “I’m not a super nerd, but you know I just pick up on things”.
NFL Draft picks need a couple of years to prove their worth so it’s too early to say for certain what the Indianapolis Colts landed on the second day of the draft.

When Green does get on the field, the Colts will have a sideline-to-sideline safety allowing defenses to be creative in front of a true centerfielder.
