The EF3 tornado that swept through the south side of Kokomo, Indiana, on Wednesday afternoon packing winds as high as 152 miles per hour toppled a Starbucks coffee shop and tore apart numerous homes.
The National Weather Service has added two more tornadoes to the total that hit IN during Wednesday’s outbreak.
The weather service had two teams Thursday conducting damage surveys in northeast in and northwest OH where a confirmed tornado, possibly an EF3, ripped about homes and barn roofs and knocked down trees between Woodburn and Harlan.

Some 140 people remained at a Red Cross shelter in Kokomo as cleanup work continued around the city and utility crews tried to restore power.
Police have restricted access to storm-damage neighborhoods, saying residents must show identification to officers before entering. He added that residents took the approaching storms seriously, which he thinks prevented more injuries from occurring.
