Colts hold off Dolphins, retain faint playoff hopes
And the Dolphins aren’t winning because points have been hard to come by this season.

When the Dolphins utterly failed to sit out Ryan Tannehill, Jarvis Landry, Lamar Miller, and Ndamukong Suh it was showing to the community that this team isn’t ready to quit.
Thankfully, in spite of Miami playing most of it’s starters, it didn’t matter.
It leaves the Colts with three quarterbacks: Andrew Luck (who has missed the past six games with a lacerated kidney) Matt Hasselbeck (who’s battling another injury after Sunday’s win in Miami) and Stephen Morris, whom the team signed off Philadelphia’s practice squad less than a week ago. The game was pretty putrid to watch and to those who stayed the entire game, to those who watched every snap on television, you’re the real MVP. It was the sixth time Tannehill was sacked, and the Dolphins’ final offensive snap of the game. It took Miami eight plays to get to the Indianapolis five-yard line.
The Colts’ offensive line has had issues, which have resulted in the quarterbacks not having enough time to stretch the field for what Pagano called “chunk plays”.
For game prediction, SB Nation said that the game all comes down to the Colts’ offense: how productive are they going to be?
“He feels like it’s on his shoulders, but it’s not”, Campbell said. The Dolphins have lost three in a row to clinch last place in the AFC East, and they’re 4-7 under Campbell, who is likely to be replaced after the season. They should look for a more defensive minded head coach that can recruit a strong offensive coordinator. Langford played for the Dolphins until 2011. In his average career win, Tannehill throws the ball 30 times.
They may be in luck, as the 5-9 Dolphins have also floundered this season. Rather it was a third-quarter play where Tannehill got whipped in the leg while scrambling and struggled in the next few moments just to limp and hop and push himself off the field. However, when the well-traveled Boston College product went down due to injury, everyone at Sun Life Stadium thought this was Miami’s game to win. What’s ironic is Indianapolis ended up getting Luck and four years later both of these teams are still among the worst in the league. After the safety, Brent Grimes picked off Matt Hasselbeck in Colts territory in the first quarter, but that was wiped out by a holding flag against Grimes. Four plays later Ryan Tannehill was sacked and the game, much like the season, slipped right out of the Dolphins’ hands. During the lone trip in the first quarter when the Dolphins made it to the red zone, Indianapolis brought pressure, and it worked.

If the Colts and Texans are tied in strength of schedule, it goes to best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. A season that started with serious Super Bowl aspirations has come down to the Colts needing to watch a Week 16 Monday Night Football game to see if their slim playoff hopes will live for five more days.
