Sgt. Kevin Holbrook of the Gainesville Police Department confirmed the arrest, saying he responded to a call to the store around 11:30 a.m.
Comedian Katt Williams was arrested Monday on a battery charge in Georgia after a store employee told police that Williams punched him during an argument.
This isn’t new behavior for the 42-year-old – who was reportedly already on the ground with his hands behind his back when the cops arrived.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the comedian assaulted a store employee following an argument.
The cause for the altercation has yet to be determined, as Williams instructed officers to ask the store clerk what happened when they had asked the star what initiated the altercation.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office Police said Katt Williams tossed goggles at a Georgia pool supply store employee then punched him at least once Monday morning. Williams was booked by 1:34 p.m. per online jail records. However, Williams faces a misdemeanor battery charge over the incident.

Williams is most noted for such films as Friday After Next, Scary Movie 5, and several stand-up comedy specials.
