Comedy Central’s Roast of Rob Lowe: The best jokes
Ann Coulter was encouraged to commit suicide during Saturday’s taping of “The Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe”.

Even Super Bowl hero Peyton Manning got in a few jabs, announcing, “As you all know, earlier this year, Ann Coulter won the Kentucky Derby!”
But it was Coulter, 54, who spent much of the evening in the hot seat – at one point being labeled a “two faced b–h” and a “transvestite whore”. Rob Lowe: “After seeing your set tonight, we’ve seen the first bombing you can’t blame on a Muslim”.
Coulter, who had never been to a celebrity roast before, said, “I hear it gets kind of mean”, but was happy to be there for Rob Lowe, who she deemed to be “gorgeous”.
She’s probably used to the abuse, considering the far-right political commentator hasn’t exactly been shy about her own views on every hot-button topic under the sun.
But Coulter got her opportunity to fire back. He also asked “If you are here, Ann, who is scaring the crows away from our crops?” which is good, sure, but not almost as biting as “racist cunt”. Jewel took the stage with her guitar and had an entire bit in which she pretended she was the unidentified 16-year-old in the tape.
The rest of the roast party included this year’s RoastMaster David Spade, Jewel, Ralph Macchio, Peyton Manning, and Rob Riggle. “I have one simple rule, don’t videotape it”, he said.
David Spade: “She seems stiff and conservative, but Ann gets wild in the sheets”.
“Ann Coulter has written 11 books, 12 if you count Mein Kampf”, said comedian Nikki Glaser.
Coulter joked that her appearance at the roast – she has no apparent connection to Lowe – had “nothing to do with the book I published four days ago”.
But perhaps no one was burned worse than one of the actual roasters: Ann Coulter.

Us Weekly rounds up the five best (and raciest) jokes from the Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe, which airs Monday, September 5, at 10 p.m. ET. “After listening to your last album, I think you should go back to sleeping in your auto with the engine running and the garage door closed”.
