The biggest part of this trailer, though, is watching Felicity and Oliver work together to bring together a new team, now that Diggle and others have (temporarily) left it all behind.

The teaser features an all new team Arrow, and villains for the upcoming season. Now that the flashbacks have caught up to the present day, it is time for Oliver to stop going back to the past and think about the future.

It is unclear what her role will be on Arrow, but it was announced during San Diego Comic Con that she would appear in the season five premier, and the teaser trailer reveals the promise that she made Oliver make, that we did not see during last season. “No, he’s a new character”.

Guggenheim added that the character “fits in the theme of legacy this year that’s going to be driving all of our characters”.

It’s not just the number of Green Arrow’s nemesis that is growing larger; his team is bursting forth as well.

While Oliver will keep busy training the newbies, Felicity will be working through her guilt. Who knows, maybe she’ll break bad and sign up with the Legion Of Doom? He wants to start fighting crime.

Yes, Katie Cassidy will be back as Laurel Lance / Black Canary (shocker), appearing in the first episode of the new season, before becoming a regular to all the CW DC drama, a la Barrowman and Miller. “We will be doing a real origin story for Mr. Terrific in Season 5”.

The trailer also teases the returns of Thea (Willa Holland) and Diggle (David Ramsey), after both characters quite Team Arrow at the end of the last season. It looks like she will do the day-to-day running of the operations, so Ollie can focus on keeping the city safe. What did she make him agree to?
