AMC also premiered the new trailer. Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd was quoted mentioning “non-human characters” to be featured in episode 1, as reported by Deadline.

The season premieres of “The Walking Dead” and “Talking Dead” will coincide the network’s annual blockbuster marathon of thriller and horror films, AMC Fearfest.

Comedian Chris Hardwick and panel moderator acknowledged the frustration that was expressed by some fans with the season-six cliffhanger ending, which showed Negan beating one of the show’s main characters to death, but did not reveal which character died – at one point even saying to the Comic-Con crowd, “No one’s ever trying to mess with you; everyone’s doing the best they can”.

Robert Kirman also added that fans long-waiting for “The Walking Dead” season 7 will be absolutely worth it as they will be all blown away with the upcoming major turn of events. The character is first introduced in Issue 108 of Robert Kirkman’s comic series.

Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes in the show, confirmed at the Walking Dead panel that the reveal would be made in the season 7 premiere. “It affected me”, he said. “The first episode was intense”.

The trailer for the Fear the Walking Dead season two midseason premiere debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con panel and the next half of the season promises a ton of drama. An enticing prologue proceeds to show Tara (Alanna Masterson) – last seen heading to the Hilltop Colony with Heath (Corey Hawkins) – now very much in danger and alone save for unknown enemies and some hungry walkers.
