Several of Kaepernick’s NFL peers-including teammate Eric Reid-have rallied around the embattled athlete, while NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said he opposed Kaepernick’s actions.

In an interview, Curry made it clear that he supports Kaepernick standing up for what he believes in. “I know a lot of people that are Muslim and are phenomenal people”. “There’s gonna be people that disagree with him. And I think that’s something very necessary for us to improve as a country”.
The right to agree or disagree with Kaepernick is undeniable. Anyone who’s looking to torch some Kaepernick merch to protest his anthem boycott will end up with a ten-dollar knock-off shirsey. That only puts people on the defensive and less willing to actually hear what’s being said from the other side.

Kaepernick provided something of an answer today, ESPN reports, when he announced on Instagram that he will donate all the proceeds he receives from jersey sales to charity.
“I support our players when they want to see change in society”, Goodell told the AP, “and we don’t live in a flawless society”. We encourage them to be respectful and it’s important for them to do that.
Goodell noted that National Football League players have a visible platform for their viewpoints. “I wish people would be as outraged about the murders that are happening in the street as they are about a protest”.
“I think there are a lot of players that feel the same way, ” Kaepernick said Wednesday.
Kaepernick’s red Niners jersey was the No. 1-selling jersey at NFL Shop as of Tuesday afternoon and his white jersey ranked 12th in sales. “And we can make this country better, and that they believe I was someone who could help that change”.

That lack of practice time contributed to Blaine Gabbert winning the starting quarterback job for the 49ers. The 49ers have said Kaepernick is within his constitutional right to protest. “I’ve been in this position before. It’s really only been about a month since I’ve been on the field, so there’s still some progressing to do, still some strength to get back, but I’ll continue to work”.
