Committee given more time to work out Vegas stadium details
Major sports leagues have, for many years, been against their teams playing in cities that allow gambling legally. I think having the Raiders in Las Vegas is the flawless thing to complement the city and to give everyone another excuse to come to Las Vegas.

He said: “I’m really, really working hard to make sure that can happen”.
However, with Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis having been in discussions with Las Vegas about a relocation from California, the National Football League has signalled that it would gladly put a team there if the stadium deal is right.
Forbes places the Raiders valuation at $970 million, a far cry from the Dallas Cowboys at $3.2 billion.
The move, which was once projected to cost $1.4 billion, is now estimated to cost $2.1 billion.
The Raiders have always been the ugly sibling of the Bay Area NFL market. Davis wholeheartedly believes that Las Vegas is the right territorial and city fit for his organization.
According to the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee, part of the huge increase is because of land acquisitions and the stadium possibly having a retractable roof. Southwest Airlines opposes the original plan of putting it at UNLV across from the airport.
Another possible location is a 139-acre site on the Wynn Golf Club.
The committee has until July 28 to make its recommendation to Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval (R) on whether it thinks the stadium should be approved The committee is expected to motion for a deadline extension.

“The committee has done an outstanding job in managing and pursuing a robust and complex agenda but its work is not complete”, Sandoval said. The money would be earmarked for renovating and expanding the center by at least 600,000 square feet.
