“My favorite part is that so many of our parishioners show and and say, ‘what do you need to be done?’ Even the children help out”, Harper said.

In addition to a great Thanksgiving meal, there will be fellowship and games to enjoy. If you are unable to come to the church for a meal; we do have a limited delivery service.

“The Buffalo Bills are proud to partner with the Food Bank of WNY, especially for the annual Thanksgiving Blitz which is very special to both organizations”, said Gretchen Geitter, Buffalo Bills Vice President of Community Relations. “My community matters – we just try to feed the hungry souls each and every day”. Delivery drivers also are needed for the dinner, she noted.

“I think it gives us an opportunity to connect with the community, and have a good time”, he said. “We invite people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in this event”.

One attendee said this was a chance to see people in the community she hasn’t ‘seen in a while. Walkup said he recalls one man who was driving by, saw the sign for a free Thanksgiving meal and chose to stop. Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, drinks and desserts will be the fare offered.
