No Plea from Bergdahl
During a two-day military hearing in September, military prosecutors said Bergdahl had meant to desert his post. “Yes, sir. Bergdahl was held captive by the Taliban for five years before he was released as part of a controversial prisoner swap.

A criminal complaint filed in the Stearns County District Court said Jamie Elrod, 37, of St. Cloud is facing a first-degree assault charge. The victim told officers the two of them got into a fight over a beer that resulted in her going “off at him”. Elrod then called police to report the argument.

Palestinian shot after West Bank stabbing attempt
No one was hurt in the incident overnight in the village of Beitillu in the occupied West Bank, a police spokeswoman said. The attack drew renewed attention to Jewish extremism and accusations Israel had not done enough to prevent such violence.

Elrod was arrested on suspicion of felony First Degree Assault – Great Bodily Harm.

New home sales rise 4.3% to 490000 annual rate
With the bigger than expected decrease, existing home sales fell to their lowest rate since hitting 4.75 million in April of 2014. As of the end of November, there were about 232,000 new homes for sale – about a 5.7-month supply at the current sales rate.

During a search of the apartment, officers found blood and part of the man’s ear on the floor. But in a phone call from jail, Elrod admitted to bitting her husband’s ear when he reached for her, and when he pulled back “she ripped his ear off”.

Jamie Elrod was caught by police on the scene after the crime took place and her partner later told police that she “went off at him” over an alcoholic drink.
