Borussia Moenchengladbach’s caretaker coach Andre Schubert says his resurgent side respect but don’t fear Premier League high-fliers Manchester City ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash.

Throughout the entire match, both goalkeepers played remarkably well and were able to keep the score 1-1 until the 90th minute, when Aguero used his technical abilities to discombobulate the Borussia defenders, leaving them with no choice but to hack at his ankles. We gave far too many chances to them.

As for the Bundesliga club, they have won their last two games and are looking to use that momentum against City.

Manchester City defeated Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. We were really disjointed and have been in the last couple of games in the Premier League that we’ve lost where we’ve had a good half and a bad half, and we’ve done that today.

“Of all of these games we had before – against Juventus, against West Ham, against TottenhamI don’t think we deserved to lose but we did”.

Paris Saint-Germain are level with Madrid on six points at the top of Group A after easing to a 3-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, Serge Aurier and David Luiz netting in the first half before a Darijo Srna own goal late on put the seal on the win. Gladbach are bottom, having lost both their matches. Prior to the Juve loss, with Kompany fully fit, they had won five in succession without being breached.

Despite struggling to finish chances throughout the night, Sergio Aguero’s penalty secured Manchester City three points. But Nicolas Otamendi rammed home an equaliser 11 minutes later and City were rewarded for a bright finish as the otherwise laboured Aguero scored from the spot after being fouled. City rode their luck at times, but they demonstrated resolve and a desire to come from behind to win the game and now look well-placed to qualify of they can get two positive results from their upcoming double-header with Sevilla.

“They ” ve got a few good movement”, Hart said.

“We’ve been a bit imbalanced”.

There’s still a lot of work for the Blues to do, but this could be the moment wherein they begin to turn their fortunes around.

His display against Gladbach may not have scaled those heights, but he was the difference between City winning the game or dropping points and making their progression to the last 16 extremely problematic.

Manuel Pellegrini insists Manchester City are NOT Euro flops — they simply
